The clients approached us with two three bedroom apartments they had purchased alongside and they wished to convert it into a single three bedroom space. The main challenge was to seamlessly fuse both the apartments (which had a central duct in between). The clients also preferred to have a minimal approach towards their apartment interiors where we were briefed to have minimum false ceiling as well as avoid wall panelling wherever possible for ease of maintenance. The client also mentioned his love for customised minimal furniture.

After understanding the client’s preferences and their lifestyle, we decided to go with a combination of wood and various pastel shades as the material palette as well as each and every piece of furniture is customised and executed on site by local craftsmen.

The family living has a jhula which is usually one of the crucial elements in a Gujarati household. The family living space seamlessly flows into the dining area which further opens out onto the open plan kitchen. You are welcomed into the house by a plush teak wooden door with operable louvers. The entrance foyer is a spacious uncluttered space that leads you into the formal drawing room as well as the living room, with an integrated puja spa

The master bedroom is a simple combination of wood with earthy brown shades, whereas another master bedroom for their daughters is a combination of wood and various soothing pastel shades.
